Candle Tip #1: Pressed flowers can be applied to candles by softening the application area with the back of a spoon that has been warmed over a heat source. Hold the spoon slightly above the flame. Position flowers on the candle and press into position with the heated spoon. Candle Tip #2: Use odd or mismatched crystal wine glasses as small-footed floating candle holders. The same wine glasses can even hold tea lights for a special brunch. Candle Tip #3: Float fresh flowers in a bowl along with some floating candles. Candle Tip #4: Glass cylinders have an endless number of decorating options. For spring, try filling cylinders with colored eggs or jellybeans, cover with water, float the candle and enjoy! Candle Tip #5: Place a large silver or brass platter in your fireplace for the spring. Place an arrangement of candles on the platter and enjoy a romantic spring evening in front of the fire. Candle Tip #6: Gather mismatched or inexpensive spring-colored or floral-pattern teacups. Use them as dainty and unique tealight holders. Candle Tip #7: Place pastel-colored tapers in a bowl filled with colored eggs. Candle Tip #8: Combine pastel-colored candles of various styles using a variety of candle holders. The festively colored centerpiece will remind everyone that spring is here! |
